Have you ever watched out-take footage of films and find that it had taken actors several takes and attempts to perform the 'perfect' scene? You find that a scene which looked completely flawless or simple on our TV screens had taken several attempts to complete.

They often made mistakes or forgot their lines. However, the director who oversees the production of the film watches every little detail and interjects to allow the scene to be restarted when needed. The actors never know how the film will appear until they watch the screening of the final production and so must trust that the director knows what they're doing.

There is a popular poem by William Shakespeare entitled 'All the world's a stage.' The poem explains how life is like a play, where we go through different stages of our lives and go through exits and entrances at different times.

Our lives are like films; we play and fulfil our parts in order to make a difference before we leave the stage.

As well as good times, we also face many obstacles, trials and difficulties. During these times, we often struggle to move on, get stuck in crossroads or stumble and fall.

God genuinely cares about our welfare; He understands what we go through and doesn't want us to be anxious (1 Peter 5:7).

He also knows that we are not perfect and so gives many chances to start afresh, begin a new scene or chapter and become a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).

God knows every little detail about us and sees everything we go through. He will never leave us alone in our struggles. He wants to carefully guide us, direct our steps, perfect our plans and lead us towards our destiny. He looks out for us and His grace and mercy is sufficient for all of our needs. God also strengthens us with His joy to help us get through difficult times. God works to turn our situation around and promises that joy and rejoicing will always come in the morning, no matter how dark the night may seem (Psalm 30:5).

The earth and everything in it belongs to God (Psalm 24:1). He created every inch of the world and He also carefully knitted us together in our mother's wombs (Psalm 139:13).

Therefore, He has knowledge of life beyond our own. He knows what is best for us and He has our best interest at heart; we can entrust Him with our lives.

God works behind the scenes in our lives. Although we don't see Him, we know that He is there. He watches every scene and equips us to move on to the next chapter and towards glory.

God wants to be the director of our lives. He will never impose on us; we must allow him to do so by trusting him with all our hearts (Proverbs 3:5-6).

When we have complete faith in God, we can surrender and put our hope, life and future into His hands.

God is the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Allow Him to take the lead and be the director of our lives, complete and perfect our lives for His glory.
