Have you ever seen some concerts or tv shows with celebrities on and when they come on stage, all the fans start screaming hysterically. Or if the celebrity ever acknowledges a fan, they get even more excited. I've seen in some cases where fans have literally fainted because they shook a celebrity's hand. I've even seen fans who have cried because their favourite singer ignored them at their only chance of meeting them.

Many fans want to be acknowledged by stars. Or if anyone got the chance to meet the Queen or any member of the royal family, they would feel so honoured.

There is nothing wrong with admiring others or being a little starstruck.

But let's not forget that there is our God who is The ultimate famous One, the King of Kings and so much bigger than any human and anything on earth. No one can compare to Him or be on his level.

Yet our God is humble and acknowledges who we are everyday. He doesn't look down on us, he will never ignore us and is not unapproachable, he allows everyone to come to Him and never turns anyone away. We should always be excited by this, its a real honour.

This is our God who made the heavens and the earth, who can move mountains and quieten roaring seas (Psalm 65:6)

With how great and awesome he is, he recognises and acknowledges every single one of us.

Psalm 8:3-4 says - 'When I consider your heavens, and the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?'

With how great and amazing God is, in all power and majesty, we may wonder why he is mindful of us and personally aware of us, mere humans.

But God doesn't see us as just mere humans, He thinks very highly of us.

He loves every single one of us and sees us as precious and honoured individuals (Isaiah 43:4).

God is mindful of us because he knew us before we were formed in our mothers womb (Jerimiah 1:5) and made us in his own likeness and so wants to look after us, his precious handiwork.

He cares alot about us, he will never forget us and says that He will always remember us and bless us (Psalm 115:12).

He thinks about us all the time and his thoughts towards us are thoughts of peace and to give us a hope and a future (Jerimiah 29:11).

He also knows us each individually by our name, God says in Isaiah 43:1 - 'I have called you by name, you are mine.'

God also desires to be close to us, thats why he does not call us his servants, but his friends. (John 15:14).

It is a real honour and a privileged to be acknowledged in God's sight and called His friends.

Our main focus should be on maintaining our relationship with God and be thankful that with how great and powerful he is, he is mindful of us and always will be.

We are recognised by and friends with such an amazing God, this thought alone should excite us more than anything.
