In Exodus 3:7-8, God says 'I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt, I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them out of that land into a good and spacious land flowing with milk and honey.'

It shows that God knows what we're going through and cares about our well-being. He sees it all and does not want to leave us hanging. The Isralites were enslaved for hundreds of years and God was concerned and promised to bring them out, but they had to endure for a bit and wait a while, but God kept his promise, he brought them out into a land with milk and honey.

It's only our faith that can help us wait and endure. We can do this by depending less on our eyes and self and more on God and our faith. God has our future set out for us. He started it and will be faithful to complete it. (Phil 1:6)

But the enemy knows this and always come to try to bring it to self destruction with all sorts of tricks because he only comes to steal, kill and destroy.

The enemy may bring temptations to ruin us. When Portiphar's wife tried to seduce Joseph, with courage from God he fled from her advances. Even though she lied to her husband and had Jospeh thrown in jail, his innocence was brought out and he later became Prince of Egypt. Can you imagine what may have happened if he didn't have the courage to flee from her advances, the end result may have been different. The enemy knew the future God had for Jospeh and tried to thwart them but he didn't succeed because Joseph kept his faith and waited on the Lord.

The enemy tried it with Job, he targeted him and set out to bring all sorts of distress his way to break him. God warned him that Job will stay faithful, and he did, which is why he prospered even more after all his afflictions.

When we are tempted or afflicted, our faith is tested. If we allow the enemy to ruin our future by bringing obstacles and stressful situations. It makes us troubled, worried, feel lonely or worthless.

The enemy wants us to give up, stop fighting and doubt that God will bring us out of whatever we are going through.

He wants us to get fed up and think that we cannot do it anymore, or think God is not by our side or ask 'Why has God left me alone in my time of need?' This type of thinking begins the breakdown of our faith which is what the enemy wants. We should never allow his ruthless plans to suceed.

When our faith levels are down, we become vulnerable to the enemy's attacks, we leave ourselves open to more temptation, affliction and distress, which in turn, brings our faith levels down even more till it's completely broken, leaving an empty life without God.

But when we get up and re-program our minds, we can say, 'No! Enough is enough!' 'I am more than that!' 'My afflictions are only temporary so I will trust and wait on the Lord,' With this type of thinking, the enemy will flee from us and we will continue pressing on towards the goal to win the prize that God has called for us. (Phil 3:14) We claim back what is ours.

We have control over our minds and what we choose to do. We can choose to either allow or refuse negative thoughts and afflictions to overpower us.

The enemy wants to steal our blessings, kill our dreams and destroy our futures. But with the help of God we will not be threatened or shaken. God has not and never will leave us alone in our troubles.

Like God said in Exodus 3:6, he sees the affliction of his people, he can see what we are going through and he wants us to know that we are not alone because he is there ready to complete our future.

We just need to endure, keep up our faith, wait and depend on Him because he promises that the end result will be great.

'Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.' (Psalm 27:14)
