Have you ever heard the phrase, 'when in doubt, ask?'

As simple as it sounds, sometimes it can be difficult to practice in our everyday lives.

Maybe at work, after receiving training, we may be afraid to ask for assistance if we need help with a task or assignment because we fear looking silly or being dismissed.

Or if you're in school and the teacher explained the work, but you still don't understand, you may fear embarrassment asking the teacher for help in front of other students.

Or some people may be driving in an unfamiliar area and are unsure of where they are going, but don't want to stop to ask for directions because they want to find the way on their own. However, the consequences of not asking for help and assistance does not benefit us, it usually results in confusion, more struggles and can delay us.

When it comes to God, we shouldn't be afraid to ask God for help or assistance.

There may be many things in our lives which we may be unsure of or need help with.

We often need help getting through difficulties in our lives or managing stress and struggles in our family lives, relationships or working lives.

We can't do everything on our own might, which is why God's grace is sufficient for us and for everything we need to get by.

But first we need to ask God for his help and He will respond accordingly.

Jesus told us to simply, 'Ask and it will be given to you' (Matthew 7:7).

All we need to do is ask and when we believe in our hearts, we will receive what we request.

God knows our thoughts before we speak them, but He still wants to speak to Him and make our requests known to Him.

We must take the first step and ask, and then God intervenes.

There is nothing that God cannot do, there is no request that He cannot perform or situation that He cannot turn around.

There is also no request too silly or small for God's attention. God will work with us, direct and guide us whenever we ask Him to.

God wants us to come to Him. He wants to play a big part in our lives, but we need to open up and let Him in.

There is no limit to how many times we can ask God for things.

He will never dismiss us or feel burdened if we call on Him countless amounts of times.

He genuinely cares about us and wants to take away our stress and struggles and is there whenever we need His aid.

Remember that God is a shield to all who take refuge in him (Psalm 18:30).

He is always waiting for us to draw closer to Him and give Him permission to intervene in our situations and direct our lives for our benefit.

Never be afraid to seek God and ask for his divine assistance.

He is a merciful and faithful God, and there is nothing we can do to make Him turn away from us.
