Hi, I'm Esther Fajoye and I live in London, UK.
I have been writing and sending 'Daily Word' messages via email since 2008.
Although I named them Daily Word, they were not technically daily, more weekly. I just thought Daily Word sounded a lot better than Weekly Word! :)
I was brought up in a Christian home with Pastor parents, but did not fully commit to God until around the age of 18. After some years of emptiness, I decided to take a leap of faith and redirected my focus onto God.
I began to acknowledge her worth in God, got to know Him on a deeper level and formed a relationship with Him. As I studied the Word, I realised that for every area and problem in my everyday life, the answers were in the scriptures. As I moved closer to God, I realised that God also moved closer to me (James 4:8).
I learned more about God and also about myself. I also found comfort and encouragement in God to help my through the different stages of my life and through my experiences.
I then started to write a journal of everything that I had learned whilst studying God's Word. My faith and passion fuelled this journal! I wrote down everything that came from God, onto my heart, and onto those pages.
I then felt the need to share things that I learned with others because when you find a good thing, you can't keep it to yourself. God wants us to share and let others also experience His love, joy and warmth.
In 2008, I started sending devotional messages, via email, and then opened my website in 2011.
I still enjoy encouraging others by sending ‘Daily Word’ devotionals and have had some of my devotionals published in articles on Christian websites:
I released my debut book in July 2015, called 'Devotional Journal for Successful Living,' a collation of devotionals.
The book is available on Amazon in paperpack and Kindle version:
I am holder of a BSc Psychology Degree and a Master's Degree in Social Work.
I am a qualified Social Worker, currently working in Child Protection and Safeguarding services to support vulnerable children and families.
I am also involved in the children's and music ministry at my church.
